Pennywise has Shown Himself Once Again and We Cannot Get Enough of It

Let’s Play – Short Horror Film of The Month

After a twenty-seven year rest, Pennywise the Dancing Clown has resurfaced out of Derry, Maine to bring thrills and chills to a new generation of horror fans.

The highly anticipated return of Stephen King’s searing vision of cosmic horror and ancient evil has fans on the edge of their seats with both exhilaration and rising fear, as an old familiar face from all of our pasts – and most of our nightmares – once more stirs from the deep places of our darkest dreams to remind us It is still out there waiting with inhuman patience.

It’s been twenty-seven years since we were first introduced to the murderous Pennywise the Dancing Clown. Originally brought to life by the chilling performance of the one-and-only Tim Curry, Pennywise became an instant horror icon. One who embodied playful carnage and immortalized an ever-increasing terror for clowns around the world. Curry’s Pennywise effortlessly terrified an entire generation of children.

Stepping into Curry’s revered role would seem no easy task, but already through released photos and trailers,  Bill Skarsgård has won fans over by the few hints we’ve seen of what he brings to the villainous portrayal. It seems there is a gleeful evil he intends to unleash upon horror audiences.

It hits theaters September 8, 2017.

Sure, that is only a couple more months away, but it feels decades away as we wait to see what director Andrés Muschietti has in store for fans of King’s horror masterpiece.

In the meantime, we have this image (courtesy of Bloody Disgusting) to satisfy our thirst for the macabre as we wait for It to chill us all.
