Shock rocker and thought-provoking artist Marilyn Manson is no stranger to stirring up a bit of controversy among the good people of this shaky planet, and his short new music video “Say10” is certainly no exception. In light of Election Day and the long, annoying journey of trash-talking political ads and the ridiculous debacle both major party campaigns have displayed thus far, our favorite musically inclined rock star Manson supplied a clip in promotion for his song “Say10” from his upcoming album of the same name to The Daily Beast depicting what looks like a beheaded Donald Trump.
The awesomely graphic short music clip directed by Tyler Shields showcases an annoyed Manson on a throne, ripping pages from the Bible and then turns to a decapitated man in a suit and a red power tie laying in a pool of delightful blood. While the lifeless, tiny-handed “business man” on the floor does indeed seem to portray the Trump, Manson explained to TDB that the imagery was open to interpretation.
“Either way tomorrow goes, the visuals are meant to create contemplation. Because it’s obviously bigger than just tomorrow. It’s about the desperate acts of people who believe something that is preached by an unbeliever.”
Coincidence or not, it’s certainly not that hard to fathom that the Republican candidate that has made no secrets on his stance regarding Islamic extremists, could very well be the focal point of this short video. The album “Say10” is due out sometime in February of 2017.
