Back in March, we at iHorror first learned via Dead Mouse Productions that an IT documentary focusing on Tommy Lee Wallace’s TV miniseries of the masterfully horrifying Stephen King novel from 1990 was in the works; and we really couldn’t be more excited about the project that it said to contain over TWO HOURS of never before seen footage from the set of IT! With new interviews from the cast, crew, and of course, Tim Curry!
The documentary that will be the ultimate fan orgasm for hardcore IT lovers, gave us an inside peek recently on what to expect from the doc that has everyone talking on the horror news frontlines. From exploring the cultural impact the miniseries had on the genre, to exploring the widespread fear of Coulrophobia, the makers of You’re so cool, Brewster! The Story of Fright Night and RoboDoc: The Creation of RoboCop along with the director of Unearthed & Untold: The Path to Pet Path to Pet Sematary, are really bringing this labor of love of the beloved tale of sheer terror into history as THE DEFINITIVE LOOK at Stephen King’s IT.
If you’re interested in backing this beautiful project, and why would you NOT be, you can head over to the doc’s Indigogo page to contribute and grab some super sweet perks such as early access DVD and Blu-Rays of the doc, signed posters, t-shirts, and even an executive producer’s credit by clicking here! Come on, don’t ‘cha WANT IT?!
