We don’t need more remakes. We need more REUNIONS!
Texas Frightmare Weekend kicks off this year on May 5th at the Hyatt Regency in Dallas. Fans of Dario Argento’s 1977 beloved classic SUSPIRIA are in for a special occasion – the director himself will be making an appearance along with cast members Stefania Casini and Barbara Magnolfi. It’s not every day that you get to see something like this; especially in America as all three will be traveling from Rome.
The horror convention will last three days from May 5th to May 7th and is hosted in part by Blumhouse and Arrow Video. Texas Frightmare will be celebrating 40 years of SUSPIRIA, though further details beyond meeting the cast are unclear. Though lead actress Jessica Harper is not listed to be attending, she will be featured in the upcoming remake of Argento’s film. Now seems to be as good a time as ever to be a fan of the classic Giallo film.

Argento is only the latest addition to the ever-growing list of attendees. Among those already announced are BASKET CASE director Frank Henenlotter, Danny Lloyd, who played Danny Torrence in THE SHINING, Misfits guitarist Doyle Von Wolfgang, and numerous cast members from Netflix’s runaway hit series STRANGER THINGS. It is truly shaping up to be one of the strongest conventions seen in years – and if that wasn’t enough, we will also be getting a FRIGHT NIGHT REUNION.
The convention is currently in its twelfth year of operation. Details, tickets, and more can be found at the Texas Frightmare Weekend website. Don’t miss out on this, folks; get your tickets now before they increase in price.
See you there!
