Last year, IFC Midnight’s release of Baskin (2015) turned out to be a sleeper hit, both in the festival circuit and shortly thereafter on Netflix.
Director Can Evrenol created one of the bloodiest films we’ve seen in years, he re-popularized the term “splatterfest.” It made him a young “one-to-watch” director in the process.
His follow-up “Housewife” looks just as mind-bending and different as his previous. The trailer features a weird collage of seemingly unrelated images, blood, and some sex.
We aren’t sure what to expect from Evrenol’s latest entry, but it certainly has us wondering how he is going to top his inaugural full-length feature.
